RF-19 (Rhone Freak 2019), Mourvèdre ~ $28/bottle, 98 cases produced - Last 10 cases! Order Here

Mourvedre found its way in to our winery in 2007.  We’d started working with Stillwater Creek Vineyard, now in the Royal Slope, AVA.  Never having worked with the variety to that point, we were surprised by pretty much everything about it.  Sloppy must that fermented with intense color and aromas of peppered beef jerky.  We nicknamed it “the rhone freak.” We knew we were on to something special after a Stillwater Creek vineyard tasting hosted in Walla Walla with a bunch of heavy hitters, it stole the show.  It made its way in to our signature Rhone blend that year, making its varietal release debut with our 2008 vintage, which is still drinking off the hook as of April 2021.  This vintage is 97% Mourvèdre 3% Syrah. The 2019 is from Weinbau vineyard, on the Wahluke Slope. Well rounded with a hint of white pepper on the finish with a mellow, mouth pleasing palate and finish!

The Anchor, Syrah ~ 178 cases produced Sold Out!

As many of you know Syrah has always been the focus of my winemaking career.  I started my former winery with the idea of making “the best Washington State Syrah possible”, and this is still my mission.  The Anchor was sourced from three blocks of Syrah, two at Weinbau and one at Sagemoor, and co-fermented with 4% Viognier.  In 2019 we were fortunate to have access to a concrete “cone”, and the entire lot was processed and fermented in one vessel from start to finish.  The Anchor has very Intense color, classic aromatics and a supple finish. This wine will instigate you to come out of your dungeons!

Solamenté, Cabernet Franc ~ 73 cases produced Sold Out!

In 2006 I started working with fruit from the Weinabu vineyard in the Wahluke Slope AVA, and have worked with them every vintage since.  The Sagemoor Vineyards family had extra fruit that year and rolled the dice with our little winery.  We started producing varietal Cabernet Franc in 2006, and have consistently produced varietal worthy wines vintage over vintage.  Though we’ve now switched blocks, the fruit quality has only increased over the years, and the fermentation and barrel programs have become very focussed for this wine. 2019 “Solamemte” is 100% Cab Franc, hence the name. Deep purple with rich aromatics, this wine is a beast.
